The Loneliness of Hangzhou: A City Without Familiar Faces or Inspiring Landmarks
The beauty of Hangzhou has lost its charm for me. In this city, I don't know anyone, and the feeling of loneliness is overwhelming. Every day, I go out and see only unfamiliar faces. There's no one to share my feelings with, no one to understand my melancholy.
I've been to all the nearby attractions, and they've all become dull. The scenic West Lake has lost its appeal, and the night view of the Qiantang River is just a repetitive sight. I've come to realize that even the most breathtaking scenery can't compare to the comfort of browsing my phone. The people on my screen are always so familiar and endearing, offering me a sense of solace.
I'm starting to wonder if I've just gotten too used to living alone. Or maybe I've grown accustomed to this feeling of loneliness. My daily routine is always solo: I wake up, eat, go out, and watch movies by myself. There's no one to talk to, no one to share my joys and sorrows with.
But I know this isn't healthy. Humans are social creatures that need interaction and connection with others. So, I've decided to make an effort to meet new people and attend social events. I hope to find like-minded individuals who can share my feelings and understand my loneliness.
