Confidence is not a gift, it's a skill that can be practiced
I have to say, 'The Confidence Trap' should be the best book on confidence. The author's message is straightforward: confidence is not something you think about, it's something you do. Take action first, then confidence will follow. Most of our anxiety can be overcome by 'familiarity'.
The most powerful point in the book is the use of 'dissociation' to deal with negative emotions. After reading it, I realized that confidence is not a gift, but a skill that can be practiced. We often get caught up in negative emotions, feeling not good enough or not excellent enough. However, the author tells us that confidence is not an innate trait, but a skill that can be developed through practice and training.
When we face challenges and difficulties, we often feel anxious and doubtful. However, the author encourages us to take action first, and then think and reflect. Through continuous trial and practice, we can gradually build our confidence. At the same time, the author also emphasizes the importance of 'familiarity'. Only through continuous practice and familiarity can we truly master our abilities and potential.
The greatest value of this book lies in its message that confidence is not an abstract concept, but a skill that can be practiced and developed. By reading this book, we can learn how to build our confidence, how to deal with negative emotions, and how to become more confident and independent.
