Human Observation During the Renovation Process: Why Workers Need to be Supervised
Those who have renovated their homes know that workers can be difficult to communicate with. They often try to deceive you and argue their way out of things. The more you respect them, understand them, and show empathy, the more they will take advantage of you. Even when caught, they will deny any wrongdoing. Therefore, you must supervise them closely and set high standards to ensure they do a good job.
But I have always wondered, why do workers need to be supervised to do a good job? Shouldn't they be motivated by trust and a sense of responsibility? Shouldn't they feel more inclined to work hard when they feel trusted?
Later, I discovered that many of these workers were the type of people who wouldn't do their homework unless they were being watched. They retained their bad habits into adulthood, and instead of pursuing education, they became renovation workers. They still have the same attitude, doing the bare minimum and lying when caught.
I think this is because they never developed good study and work habits from a young age. They may have been overindulged or neglected, leading to a lack of self-discipline. As a result, when they enter the workforce, they need to be supervised to do a good job.
However, this doesn't mean we should scold or blame them. We should try to understand and help them. We should teach them how to do their job properly and how to approach their work with a positive attitude. We should let them know that doing a good job is not just for others, but also for their own benefit.
