Cesarean or Natural Birth? A Pregnant Woman's Tragic Lesson
A nurse friend of mine recently told me a shocking story. A few days ago, a pregnant woman carrying twins was rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night, in a life-threatening situation. However, at this critical moment, the woman's family hesitated due to some unbelievable reasons.
The pregnant woman had already lost consciousness, and the doctor suggested an immediate cesarean section to save the woman's and the two fetuses' lives. However, the woman's husband and mother-in-law firmly opposed it, insisting on a natural birth. This attitude was simply unreasonable, as delaying the cesarean section would put the woman's and the fetuses' lives in danger.
Later, the doctor emphasized again that a cesarean section must be performed immediately, or the two fetuses might not survive. However, the mother-in-law said something shocking: 'If the two children are born by cesarean section, it will affect their chances of remarriage!' This idea was appalling.
In the end, it wasn't until the woman's family arrived and firmly demanded a cesarean section that the medical team could take action. However, due to the delay, neither the woman nor the two children could be saved. What's even more unbearable is that the woman reportedly fainted because she had discovered her husband's infidelity the night before, which led to her emotional distress.
This tragic accident raises questions: Doesn't this family's behavior amount to murder? Why shouldn't their attitude and actions be punished by law?
