Today, I visited my girlfriend's home and saw something on the ancestor worship table that left me speechless. I thought it was the ashes of our ancestors, so I bowed my head in reverence. However, my girlfriend's family looked at me with strange, stifled smiles, but no one told me what it actually was. Their reactions only added to my confusion and curiosity, and I began to wonder if I had made a huge mistake. I tried to read their expressions for clues, but they seemed to be suppressing their laughter, as if I had committed a well-known faux pas that everyone was aware of except me. I started to feel embarrassed and uneasy, trying to ask them with my eyes what was going on, but they just exchanged knowing glances and remained silent. The whole scene was incredibly awkward, and I began to doubt whether I had indeed made an unforgivable mistake. To this day, I still don't know what that thing on the ancestor worship table was, but I'm determined to find out.
