A "Passionate" Encounter on the Streets of Paris
I still remember my friend warning me to be careful of gypsies when traveling to Paris, as they often use their 'passion' as a pretext to steal wallets. I took the warning to heart and decided to be extra cautious. But what I encountered in front of the Louvre was a 'passionate' solicitor who caught me off guard.
He was a handsome guy in a suit, looking at me with deep affection. I was about to run away, thinking he must be a gypsy. But then he spoke up: 'Sir, want to buy a Rolex? Shipped from Yiwu.' I didn't expect him to be selling counterfeit watches!
I smiled awkwardly and quickly walked away. Looking back, I found it quite amusing. It turns out that the 'passionate' solicitors on the streets of Paris aren't just gypsies, but also merchants selling fake goods!
This experience taught me that when traveling abroad, it's not just about being aware of local customs, but also being vigilant to avoid getting scammed. At the same time, it made me more deeply understand the complexity of the word 'passion'.
