A Shanghai Girl's Horrifying Dating Story: Online Scams and Stalking
Something terrifying happened yesterday, and I just can't help but share it. My third date, A, actually used stolen online photos to pretend to be the person in the pictures! I had already arrived at his building, and out of curiosity, I tried using a reverse image search on xhs. The result showed that it was a stolen photo, so I high-tailed it out of there.
What's even scarier is that A offered to introduce me to the real person in the photos, B, saying that B felt bad and wanted me to get to know A first. And to top it off, A used the app's built-in location feature to track me! A was willing to go to such great lengths to gain my trust.
I couldn't help but wonder, why do people do such things? Is it just to satisfy their desires, or is there another reason? As a girl, I feel like I need to be extra cautious and not easily trust others.
This experience has left me feeling really scared, and I hope others can learn from it. Don't blindly trust someone just because you're curious or lonely; you need to protect yourself.
