The 'Thing' Between Dentists
Yesterday, I visited the dentist and met a beautiful and gentle female doctor. She asked me to lie down and said softly, 'Open your mouth wider, a bit wider, I'm going to put it in, it might hurt a little, so bear with it.' I had all sorts of thoughts racing through my mind, but despite feeling nervous, I cooperated obediently.
She worked efficiently and finished in no time. As I got up, I was about to strike up a conversation, but she took off her mask and said with a smile, 'Your wisdom tooth was really deeply rooted, it was a real challenge to extract.' I felt a bit embarrassed by her comment and didn't know how to respond.
But then she added, 'By the way, your wife just paid outside and said you're always like this at home, with your mouth hanging open, doing nothing, like a waste of space. It's good that we extracted it, now you can keep your mouth shut.' I was stunned and didn't know how to react.
