Becoming an Ideal S: Eight Essential Traits
Someone asked me what qualities an ideal S should possess, and after some thought, I summarized my understanding. First, a good S should have their own world, a career, and an income, making them complete before you even appear on the scene. This means they have their own life, goals, and pursuits, rather than placing all their hopes and expectations on you.
Second, a good S should understand psychology, know how to pace themselves, and grasp the right measures. This doesn't mean they need to be a psychology Ph.D., but rather that they should be able to understand human psychology, know how to communicate with you, and make you feel comfortable and safe.
Third, a good S should have exceptional language skills, knowing when to use commands, whispers, or silence. Language is a tool for communication, and a good S should be able to use it to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere.
Physical fitness is also crucial. A good S should have good physical fitness, enabling them to take better care of you and protect you. Of course, this doesn't mean they need to be a bodybuilding champion, but they should have basic physical health and vitality.
Aesthetics is another important aspect. Training is an art form, and a good S should have a good sense of aesthetics, creating a beautiful atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable and pleased.
Boundary management is also vital. A good S should be more concerned about your safety than you are, setting and maintaining boundaries to protect you from harm.
Emotional stability is also essential. A good S should be able to maintain emotional stability, handle their emotions, and avoid making you feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
Lastly, a good S should be worldly-wise, having experienced enough people and situations to remain calm when you share your darkest, most shameful, and unspeakable secrets. This means they have sufficient experience and can handle various situations, providing you with a sense of safety and support.
