The Farce of 'Paying the Public Grain' Between Husband and Wife: From Misunderstanding to Reality
My wife recently went for a check-up, and after receiving the test results, the doctor frowned and told her, 'You have hormonal imbalances and lack intense exercise, so you need your husband to sweat more often.' I was taken aback, my face turned red, and I patted my chest, guaranteeing, 'Doctor, don't worry, I'll make sure to 'pay the public grain' every night from now on!'
I thought I was doing a great job, but the doctor just pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and said, 'What I meant was that you need to accompany her to outdoor activities like jogging more often.' My wife burst out laughing and almost choked on her giggles.
The doctor, don't trust him, his 'paying the public grain' only lasts three minutes, and when we go hiking, he gets winded after just two steps. It's better not to rely on him than to rely on a treadmill. Yesterday, I asked him to carry a bag of rice, and he strained his back, so I had to carry him upstairs. My wife's words were like a bucket of cold water, pouring over me from head to toe, and my face turned bright red.
My wife's words made me realize that I had misunderstood the concept of 'paying the public grain' all along. The doctor didn't mean that kind of 'sweat,' but actual exercise. So, I decided that from now on, I'll accompany her to go jogging and hiking, and truly 'pay the public grain'!
Although my wife's teasing made me feel a bit embarrassed, I knew she was right. I need to change my lifestyle and accompany her to outdoor activities more often, not only to improve her physical health but also to strengthen our relationship.
