Does True Love Exist? Is High Expectation the Essence of Love?
In this world, people often talk about "true love" as if it's something sacred and untouchable. But does true love really exist? I think the answer is no. Anyone who encounters someone with high physical attractiveness, a great body, and a charming personality will experience feelings similar to "true love." In reality, this feeling is our yearning and admiration for the perfect image of the opposite sex.
I have a friend who always says he deeply loves his girlfriend, but when I asked him if he would give her up for Fan Bingbing, he replied without hesitation: "Of course not." This is strong proof that he loves Fan Bingbing more. Why is that? Because Fan Bingbing represents a perfect female image, and people always desire what they can't have.
The greater the gap, the more likely people are to experience the feeling of "true love." This feeling is actually a yearning for something unattainable. What is the essence of love? Is it high expectation or genuine emotion? I think the essence of love is high expectation. We always yearn for what we can't have and strive for something higher and farther away.
I love my girlfriend, but I love Fan Bingbing more. That's my take on "true love." Love is a complex emotion that contains many elements. However, at its core, the essence of love is high expectation. We always yearn for what we can't have and strive for something higher and farther away.
