Being Your Own Power: Breaking Definitions, Finding True Self
From a young age, we're taught how to live, what to learn, and what kind of person to become. Although the intention behind this education may be good, the result often turns out to be counterproductive. Unbeknownst to us, we define ourselves as individuals, roles, or professions, and gradually lose our true selves.
As we learn and grow, many of us lose ourselves in the process, becoming more and more tired, less and less like ourselves. I've come to realize that the most comfortable way to live is to be yourself. You may have experienced this feeling before β no pressure, no expectations, no constraints, just the freedom to be yourself.
But why is it so hard for us to be ourselves? Why are we bound by definitions and expectations? It's because we've been taught to live by rules and standards from a young age. We're told to live according to how others perceive us. But what's right and wrong is just a human construct. Why should we live according to someone else's definition rather than our own desires?
The power of being yourself lies in finding your true self. It allows you to understand your true needs and desires, making you feel more at ease and comfortable. It also gives you more confidence and courage to challenge tradition and authority, to express your thoughts and feelings.
Of course, the path to being yourself isn't always smooth. You'll face resistance and challenges, criticism and denial from others. But if you persist in being yourself, you'll find that life becomes more beautiful and richer. You'll find true friends and companions, true love and support. You'll live more comfortably and happily, with more meaning and value.
