The Embarrassment of Self-Media Experience: How to Answer This Question
This morning, I went to an interview and my resume mentioned that I have self-media experience. Then, the interviewer asked me what kind of self-media I did, and I was suddenly at a loss for words. I couldn't very well say that I have 200,000 followers on X, could I?
The question made me feel awkward because the self-media content I created in the past is not suitable to mention during an interview. I was worried that it would leave a bad impression on the interviewer.
Later, I thought about how to answer this question. First, I need to clarify my purpose and content of doing self-media, and then try to link it to the requirements of the interview position.
For example, I can say that through self-media platforms, I learned how to write, take photos, and edit videos, which can be applied to content creation and dissemination in the interview position.
At the same time, I can also mention that I have accumulated a large number of fans and influence through self-media, which can bring certain help to the promotion of products or services in the interview position.
Of course, the key to answering this question is to be honest and confident. As long as you can clearly express your thoughts and skills, you can leave a good impression on the interviewer.
