Blind Date Disaster: Is Youth the Ultimate Attraction?
A true story! At a blind date event, a successful, yet aging, single woman met a man she was interested in. She confidently approached him and showcased her impressive credentials: a PhD from a prestigious university, a mid-level position at a foreign company, a seven-figure savings account, a fully-paid personal residence, and a luxury car. She thought these qualifications would be enough to win over any man. However, reality hit her hard.
The man didn't seem interested in her impressive resume and only listened politely. In the end, he uttered just one sentence that left her completely devastated. He said, 'Sorry, I prefer younger women.' His words were like a bucket of cold water poured over her, instantly washing away all her confidence.
She couldn't believe the man's directness. Did her achievements and advantages mean nothing? Were all her efforts ignored? She couldn't help but ask herself: Was it really because of her age? Why was this the case?
This question might remain unanswered forever. Perhaps she should reflect on why she was rejected. Was it because her qualifications weren't attractive enough? Or was it because her personality wasn't good enough? Or maybe she was just too confident?
Regardless, this blind date experience was a heavy blow to her. Maybe she needs to reevaluate herself and find the problem. Maybe she needs to change and become a better version of herself.
