Social Norms: Constraint or Freedom?
We often feel that social norms constrain us, but in reality, these norms only bind ordinary, law-abiding citizens. Those who dare to break free from these norms, on the other hand, can gain more freedom and opportunities.
So, why is this the case? It's because norms are usually set for the average person, and only those with the ability and courage to break free can truly achieve success and happiness. As the saying goes, 'the more you follow the rules, the more you lose out'.
We often see people who follow the rules struggling to make ends meet, with little to show for it. In contrast, those who dare to break free from these norms often live the most fulfilling lives. Take, for example, those who choose to pursue careers in the adult industry; they not only gain financial freedom but also freedom in their personal lives.
Of course, this doesn't mean we should encourage everyone to break free from norms. Norms are the foundation of society, necessary for maintaining social order. However, we should also recognize that norms are not set in stone and should be adjusted and improved according to the situation.
As individuals, we should learn how to find our own freedom and happiness within the framework of norms. Don't be constrained by norms; instead, learn how to use them to create opportunities for yourself. Only then can we truly achieve happiness and fulfillment.
