I recently met a 25-year-old girl from Tianjin, and her story left me with mixed emotions. Her parents had been constantly arguing and even physically fighting since she was a child, making her grow up in a state of fear and tension. What's even more heartbreaking is that they shifted all the blame onto her, telling her that they wouldn't have fought if it weren't for her. After talking to her, I felt deeply saddened. She described how her parents would physically fight in front of her, how they would emotionally abuse her, and how they made her feel worthless. Her parents would say they loved her, but their actions were the complete opposite. Not only did they not provide economic support, but they also subjected her to domestic violence. I think this behavior is absolutely disgusting. Some parents may neglect their children due to various reasons, but parents who claim to love their children yet inflict domestic violence on them are simply despicable. They not only ruin their children's childhood but also potentially affect their entire lives. This girl's story has left me heartbroken, but it has also strengthened my conviction that we need to pay more attention to the issue of domestic violence. We need to make more people aware of the severe consequences of domestic violence and provide more help and support to the victims.
