Recently, we had a colleague who always talked about her husband being extremely chauvinistic and having a bad temper, even going so far as to physically abuse her. We all thought she tolerated it because of love, but today she suddenly quit, and we found out she was single all along. I have to say, this miss is really interesting. Despite always talking about her husband, we never saw her work overtime because she would always say she needed to go home and cook for her husband. We all thought she was a classic example of a lovestruck person, but it turned out she was single. I think this miss might have made up this story to protect herself from getting hurt. Maybe she thought that if everyone believed she had a chauvinistic husband, she wouldn't be bothered by others. Or maybe she just thought it was safer this way. Anyway, this miss's story got me thinking. It reminded me that we always judge people based on their surface-level behavior, but in reality, everyone's life might be more complicated than we imagine.
