The Plight of Underage Girls at Work: Is Being Bullied the Norm?
I'm a girl from Changsha who never attended high school. My parents both remarried and had children in their new families. From a young age, my sister and I had to drop out of school to work. At the time, we were still minors, so we could only take on jobs that didn't require an ID, and we could only earn half the wages.
My sister was in the same situation, with unstable work and low pay. Both of us have experienced the pain of being harassed and having our wages withheld. We're not alone; many underage girls face the same problems. Are we destined to be bullied just because we're underage? Don't we deserve basic labor rights?
I hope to find stable work and be able to work with my sister, taking care of each other. We don't need sympathy or pity; we need fairness and respect. We want to be seen as independent individuals, not vulnerable groups.
If you understand our situation and can offer help or job opportunities, please contact us. We appreciate your attention and support.
