Human Nature: The Driving Force Behind Survival and Reproduction
If you forget that humans are animals, you will never truly understand human nature, and you will never grasp history. The fundamental nature of animals is to survive and reproduce, and these two basic needs determine the direction of human societal development. Money and sex are the driving forces behind human society, representing survival resources and reproduction opportunities.
Money represents survival resources, satisfying our basic needs and providing a stable living environment. Sex represents reproduction opportunities, a necessary condition for the continuation of the human species. These basic needs are the foundation of human society, and all social structures and institutions are built around them.
Marriage, morality, and law are all social institutions that serve money and sex. They exist to resolve conflicts between individuals and groups over the distribution of survival resources and sex resources. The purpose of these institutions is not to restrict our desires, but to guide our behavior and ensure the harmonious development of human society.
However, in modern society, people often ignore human nature, attempting to constrain our behavior with idealized social institutions. We forget that humans are animals, with innate desires and needs. Only by acknowledging and respecting human nature can we build a more harmonious and fair society.
