Us in the Valley: Learning to Let Go and Cherish the Present
A letter to you and me when we're stuck in the valley. There's a saying that perfectly describes it: what you're afraid of and anxious about right now is just like the red scarf you forgot to wear on your third-grade school day. It feels like it happened yesterday, but it's actually been a long time ago. Why are we still haunted by the shadows of the past?
You can rest, but don't give up. Believe me, no matter what kind of valley you're in right now, as long as you change your mindset and persevere, anything will pass. Life is like a painting, with ups and downs. Withering, withering, and growing again, all living things in the world are living like this.
Let go of your obsessions, cherish the present, focus on the beauty around you, and you'll find that all your fears and anxieties are just fleeting clouds. Don't avoid your emotions, learn to control and master them. When you encounter a difficult time, pause for a moment, treat this period as a long vacation given by God, rest well, and set off again.
As the movie 'Rush' says: the only time you're really outdated is when you lose confidence in yourself. We're always looking for external affirmation and recognition, but what's truly important is how we look at ourselves. Don't give up, don't lose confidence, because you're unique, and your value and meaning are irreplaceable.
So, when you feel like you're in a valley, remember these words: you can rest, but don't give up; you can feel your emotions, but don't be controlled by them; you can seek help, but don't lose confidence. Believe in yourself, believe in life, believe in the future.
