The Financial Game in the Ambiguous Phase: Who Should Pay?
Recently, I was lurking in a Little Red Book group when I saw a girl complaining about her ambiguous partner being stingy, unwilling to take the initiative to pay for things, and making all sorts of excuses. I casually replied, "Can I just focus on shooting and not be responsible for you?"
As a result... she scolded me for half a day, and I felt quite strange. Why did my joke trigger such a big reaction from her? Was I too blunt? Or was she too sensitive?
After some thought, I realized that this issue is actually quite interesting. In the ambiguous phase, financial issues are indeed a delicate topic. Who should pay? How to split the costs? These questions seem to have no standard answer, but they cannot be avoided.
I think financial issues in the ambiguous phase are indeed a test. They not only test the economic strength of both parties but also test their communication skills and sense of responsibility. Who is willing to take the initiative to pay, who is willing to share the expenses, these questions actually reflect the values and outlook on life of both parties.
Of course, I'm not saying that guys in the ambiguous phase should always take the initiative to pay, nor am I saying that girls should always share the expenses. Everyone has their own economic situation and lifestyle, the key is to find a way that both parties can accept.
