Beating and Pampering: Two Forms of Parental Laziness
If you observe parents who are most prone to scolding and beating their children, as well as those who excessively pamper and indulge them, you'll often find a common thread: they actually have no idea how to truly love their children or effectively discipline them.
Their behavior seems worlds apart, but in reality, it's just two different forms of laziness. Scolding and beating can temporarily spare them the trouble of communicating with their kids, while pampering can help them avoid complaints and resistance. Both approaches allow them to enjoy a temporary reprieve, putting off the task of educating and disciplining their children.
The problem is, both methods have a negative impact on a child's growth and development. Scolding and beating can instill fear and low self-esteem, while pampering can lead to a lack of self-discipline and responsibility. Parents' lazy approach may bring them temporary relief, but ultimately, it will result in their child's lack of character and ability.
Therefore, parents need to reflect on their parenting style and find effective ways to love and discipline their children. Not through scolding and pampering, but through patience, understanding, and guidance. Only then can children grow up healthily, and parents can truly be at peace.
