The streets of Changsha are filled with young faces. However, behind these faces, many underage girls like me are struggling to find employment. My parents remarried, each starting new families and leaving my sister and me behind. We dropped out of school at a young age and worked hard to survive. I still remember those days when my sister and I could only find part-time jobs with very low pay. Since we were not yet adults, we could only receive half of the salary. We often felt desperate and helpless. We yearned for a stable job, a work environment where we could feel safe and respected. However, reality is cruel. Many underage girls like me face various difficulties and challenges. Some girls are harassed, and some don't even get paid. Are we destined to be bullied? Don't we deserve respect and protection? I hope that by sharing my story, more people will understand the difficulties underage girls face in finding employment. We need more attention and help, and we need a fairer and safer work environment. Let's work together for a better future!
