Sometimes being a good person just doesn't pay off! In life, we all face difficulties and challenges. Recently, a young man encountered an elderly person who had fainted on the ground on his way to work. He immediately took the old man to the hospital, showcasing his kind side. However, things took an unexpected turn. Because he didn't have much cash on him, the young man had to call his girlfriend for help. As soon as she entered the hospital room, she scolded him, saying, 'Are you crazy? Why did you have to get involved in this?' But when she saw the old man in the bed, she was shocked and exclaimed, 'Dad!' The old man looked at his daughter and said to the young man, 'You have a kind heart, listen to my advice, and break up with my daughter.' After being discharged from the hospital, the old man seriously told his daughter, 'A person as genuine as him is absolutely not worthy of marriage...' This statement was like a wake-up call, leaving the young man stunned. Was it really because he did a good deed that he was rejected by his girlfriend's father? Upon further reflection, this story actually highlights a problem in our society: we often view other people's kindness as a weakness. We always think that people who do good deeds are foolish and weak. However, kindness is a virtue we should learn from and promote.
