Is it only China that fears the cold? My friends all love eating cold food
Recently, I had a conversation with my friends and discovered an interesting phenomenon: is it only China that popularizes eating hot food and drinking hot beverages? I have many foreign friends who, even when they're on their period, still drink ice-cold beer. I see Japanese girls eating frozen rice with ice cubes, is it just the Chinese physique that can't handle cold food?
I remember when I was young, my mom always told me not to eat cold food, or I would get sick. When I grew up, I realized that this was China's traditional dietary habit. The Chinese are taught from a young age to nourish their bodies with heat, believing that eating cold food would harm their bodies. But why don't people from other countries think this way?
I started observing my foreign friends' eating habits and found that they have a completely different attitude towards eating cold food. They not only like to eat cold food but also actively seek out cold drinks. For example, Japan's cold oolong tea, Korea's cold noodles, America's ice cream... they even eat cold food in the summer to cool down.
I started to suspect, is it really that the Chinese are not suitable for eating cold food? Or are we just limited by our traditional dietary habits? I decided to ask my friends why they like to eat cold food. They told me that eating cold food can help them stay alert and energetic. At the same time, cold drinks can also help them cool down and relieve the heat.
After listening to their explanations, I started to reflect on my own eating habits. It turns out that I have been limited by traditional dietary habits all along. Now, I'm starting to try some cold foods, and I find that my body doesn't get sick from eating cold food. In fact, my body feels more comfortable.
I realized that there is no absolute right or wrong in the world, only different cultures and dietary habits. We should learn from and respect other countries' dietary cultures, rather than being stubborn. At the same time, we should also open our horizons, try new dietary ways, and find our own healthy lifestyle.
