The Lesson of the Rich Heir Who Spoiled Stray Dogs: The Importance of Moderation
I recently heard a story about a rich heir who spent all his family's wealth on raising stray dogs, and ultimately left this world prematurely. While I don't oppose loving dogs or raising them, everything must be done in moderation. As the ancients said, "Those who indulge in dogs and horses will eventually suffer the misfortune of a broken family." Dogs are indeed human's good friends, but they are also animals, and their good fortune is limited. They cannot handle excessive wealth and pampering. Loving animals is a kind heart, but it must not compromise the foundation of human morality. According to Feng Shui, "the energy of dogs is a dry and disorderly energy that can dissipate human yang energy. When human yang energy is destroyed by animal energy, it cannot be overly intimate." From this story, we can see that excessive love and pampering are not necessarily good things. As a rich heir, one should learn to measure one's actions and not let emotions control one's behavior. Raising dogs is fine, but not to excess; loving animals is fine, but not at the expense of human morality. The importance of moderation is not only reflected in raising dogs, but also in various aspects of our lives. We need to learn to control our emotions and behavior, and not let our lives be controlled by impulses and desires. Only then can we live a more meaningful and valuable life.
