Household Chores Are More Exhausting Than Going to Work? I Feel You
Household chores seem to be a mandatory course for every housewife. Today, I decided to tackle a kitchen organization project, only to find that it was much more exhausting than I had anticipated. The property management provided a machine to clean the range hood, but I was in charge of sweeping the kitchen, cleaning up oil stains, and scrubbing away for two hours, leaving me with a sore back and waist.
I suddenly felt that doing household chores was more tiring than going to work. At least when you're at the office, you can sit in a chair, type away on your keyboard, and occasionally get up to grab a cup of coffee. But when you're doing household chores, you have to stand for long periods, moving around constantly, until you're panting for breath.
I couldn't understand why household chores had to be so draining. Was it because I wasn't good at doing chores? Or was it because I wasn't strong enough? I think it's probably because I'm just not used to doing household chores.
