The Pain of Being a Girl: A Cry for Help
I'm a 21-year-old girl from Hangzhou, currently studying fine arts at a local college. My family was well-off when I was younger, but now, as a senior, I'm facing a situation where my parents are no longer providing me with tuition or living expenses.
I fail to understand why my parents suddenly cut me off financially. Is it because I'm a girl? The phenomenon of favoring boys over girls has been brutally demonstrated in my life.
I hope everyone can have a happy and fulfilling family, but if you didn't have one, would you want your children to have one? I think most people would say no.
But why can't we provide our children with a complete family? Do we really think boys are more worthy of love and care than girls?
I just hope my story can raise awareness and spark some thinking. Let's work together to break free from the shackles of favoring boys over girls and give every child a fair environment to grow.
