The Anxiety of Waiting: When He Finally Appears
The screen still only shows your last message. Is he stuck in traffic? Or has something come up to delay him… Or maybe, he's already seen you from afar but didn't find you satisfying enough… Thinking of that last possibility—
“Sorry, I've kept you waiting for a long time,” your body suddenly tenses up. You look up following the gentle and low voice, and it turns out… his face is like this… You dare not look more, and your face turns red to the roots of your ears as you exchange a one-second glance with those eyes.
In that instant, your heartbeat seems to stop. Time seems to freeze at that one second. His face, the low voice, and those deep eyes are all etched into your mind. You can't believe you'd have such an incredible encounter with him.
You try to calm your emotions, but your hands won't listen, trembling slightly. You know it's not because you're afraid, but because you're expecting. You're expecting what he'll say next, expecting the surprises he'll bring.
While waiting for him to appear, countless possibilities flash through your mind. You imagine whether he'll be late, whether he'll bring any gifts, whether he'll say anything sweet. However, when he finally appears, you realize that reality far exceeds your imagination.
