I've always found my husband's so-called 'brother' to be a bit suspicious. Every time we meet, she always speaks with a tone that's laced with an air of mystery, as if she's always hiding something. And to make matters worse, she always buys the same clothes as me, in the same color, which just leaves me speechless. I've always thought of her as a bit of a drama queen, but what happened today completely changed my mind. I remember it was pouring rain, and the water on the ground was almost knee-deep. We were planning to take a taxi home, but she suddenly suggested we walk instead. I was a bit hesitant, but she didn't say another word and just picked me up and started walking. The 2-kilometer journey was almost non-stop, and although I could feel her legs trembling, she didn't give up. Along the way, she even chatted with me, asking me about my life and feelings, as if nothing out of the ordinary was happening. In that moment, I realized how ridiculous my previous prejudices were. It turns out that a true 'brother' doesn't have to have a strong physique or a tough personality; sometimes, real courage and perseverance come from within. From that day on, my perception of her changed completely, and I started to re-examine my own biases and misconceptions.
