Unwritten Rules in the Workplace: Ambiguity, Stalking, and Betrayal
Has something like this ever happened around you? Colleagues having an ambiguous relationship, secretly carrying on in the office until they get caught red-handed? Recently, I heard about such an incident that took place in the underground parking lot of a company. A married male and female colleague got into a car accident. Another male colleague, who had been interested in the female colleague for a while, followed them to the parking lot and caught them in the act.
The incident escalated to the police station and was even reported to the D committee. What's more surprising is that there's a post about this incident on a certain app. The whistleblower has already left the company, but the two people involved in the accident are still working there. This unwritten rule in the workplace makes one wonder: what are the real rules in the workplace?
This incident is not an isolated case. We often hear news about workplace ambiguity, stalking, and betrayal. In the workplace, people often need to deal with complex interpersonal relationships, which can sometimes develop into unhealthy patterns. So, how can we avoid these problems and establish healthy workplace relationships? This is something we need to think about.
To maintain healthy relationships in the workplace, we need to have good communication skills and boundary awareness. We need to clearly express our needs and boundaries, avoid misunderstandings and conflicts, and respect others' privacy and personal space to avoid unnecessary interference and harm.
Unwritten rules in the workplace can lead to serious consequences. We need to be vigilant about these issues, establish a healthy workplace culture, and promote mutual respect and understanding among employees. Only then can we create a more harmonious work environment.
