Chatting Isn't an Interview: How to Make Conversations More Relaxed
I still remember a girl I met who initially responded to my messages very slowly. Instead of rushing to ask more questions, I shared a photo of a sunrise I took during a morning run and mentioned that I had recently started exercising regularly. This small action surprisingly made her respond faster, and the atmosphere of our conversation became more relaxed.
Later, I realized that many girls aren't unwilling to chat, but they don't like being interviewed all the time. If the conversation is just a series of 'how about you's' and 'what's next's', it quickly loses its warmth. It's like being interrogated, making people feel uncomfortable.
I think chatting should be a two-way street, not just a one-way Q&A. By sharing your life, you let the other person know that you're a real person, not just someone seeking information. This naturally makes the conversation more relaxed.
Sharing begets sharing, which is something many people often overlook. When you share your life, you make the other person feel like you're open and sincere, making them more willing to share their life with you.
So, when chatting, don't always ask questions; share your own life instead. This will make the conversation more relaxed and natural, and may even bring you and the other person closer together.
