The 'Special' Counterattack in the Office
I came to the office in the morning, and my colleagues were whispering around me. I thought someone had been transferred again or another project had gone wrong. But what actually happened was that a female colleague, born in '96, had a shocking experience with our boss during a business trip.
She went on the trip with our boss and told him she couldn't drink during her special time. The boss didn't agree, so she had a little to drink. Honestly, this kind of thing isn't uncommon in the office, and everyone's pretty used to it. But what happened later was unexpected.
On the way back, the boss criticized her in the car, saying she was using her special time as an excuse. That was basically a direct challenge. My colleague didn't explain herself, but instead pulled out a sanitary napkin and started yelling at the boss, 'Look, look!'
The driver and the boss were both stunned, and it felt like the whole car had come to a standstill. Everyone knows that women are really vulnerable during their special time, and you shouldn't provoke them, even with a little wind or a slight movement. So, my colleague's move was really bold.
From then on, the boss never dared to mess with her again. Every time there was a meeting, she was the most active one, putting forward all sorts of suggestions and opinions. It seemed that she not only stood firm in the office but also became the boss's favorite.
Years later, I still occasionally think about this incident and feel that my colleague was really smart. She not only protected herself but also taught us how to protect ourselves in the office.
