I Don't Feel Regret, So I've Become an Ordinary Person
It's incredibly difficult for poor people to change their fate, a sentiment that many can deeply relate to. In order to have any chance of success, one must sacrifice something. The question is, what should we sacrifice? Some give up their morals, others their dignity, and some even their health. Every person has their own bottom line, but when faced with the pressures of survival, many are forced to make difficult choices.
When I was younger, I too had dreams of changing my fate and living a better life. But as I grew older, I realized just how difficult it is to alter one's destiny. Every step forward is filled with challenges and uncertainty, and I began to hesitate and waver. So, I chose to play it safe, neither sacrificing nor changing anything.
It wasn't until later that I understood what true strength really means. It's not about being willing to sacrifice, but about moving forward with all the things you can't bear to part with. It may be slower, but it's a cleaner path. This kind of strength doesn't come from giving up, but from perseverance. Persevering in one's principles, persevering in one's dreams, no matter how long and uncertain the road ahead may be.
Although I may look like an ordinary person now, deep down I still feel a sense of discontent. I'm not satisfied with my inability to move forward, I'm not satisfied with my lack of strength. But I also know that true strength isn't something that can be achieved overnight, it requires us to work hard every step of the way, to move forward with all the things we can't bear to part with.
