In upscale neighborhoods, it's common to see young women running in yoga pants. I used to wonder why they didn't run in the nearby park instead. The park has better air quality, more greenery, and seems like an ideal place to run. However, the reality is different. It wasn't until later that I understood why the young women in upscale neighborhoods prefer to run near home. Firstly, the roads and sidewalks in these neighborhoods are usually better, making for a more comfortable and safe running experience. Secondly, these neighborhoods typically have better security and surveillance, making it safer to run at night. However, the most important reason might be that these young women value their privacy and sense of security. While parks have more greenery and fresh air, they also increase the chances of encountering strangers and harassment. In contrast, running in upscale neighborhoods allows them to enjoy their runs freely, without worrying about being disturbed or harassed. Of course, this is just my speculation, and everyone's reasons may vary. Nevertheless, observing the behavior of these young women reveals that they prioritize their quality of life and sense of security.
