The Temperature of Reading: A Heartwarming Response from Hangzhou Library
I've been wondering, what kind of mindset and psychology do these complainers have? Why do they think they have the right to decide who can and can't come to the library to read? Do they really believe reading is a noble privilege that only they deserve?
But Hangzhou Library's response warmed my heart. This wasn't just a simple official response, but a sincere and heartfelt message. They said, we can't reject anyone from coming to the library to read, but you have the right to leave. This sentence conveys a sense of inclusiveness and understanding, and respect for every reader.
The library's only requirement for all readers is to wash their hands. It's a simple request, but it carries deep meaning. Isn't reading a noble pursuit? But that doesn't mean readers are superior to others. Reading is meant to help us distinguish right from wrong, not to make us feel superior.
I think this is the charm of Hangzhou Library. It may not be the best-equipped library in Hangzhou, but it's definitely the warmest. Because it has a temperature, a human touch, and respect and understanding for its readers.
