The Unspoken Words that Are the Hardest to Overcome in Marriage
I recall that during decades of married life, there were things I never dared to say to my wife. These unspoken words were locked in my heart, hoping to remain in the past, with our communication only scratching the surface. We were supposed to be the closest of partners, yet we could become the most estranged individuals to each other.
In married life, the passage of time isn't the biggest obstacle. The real challenge lies in the words that were never spoken. These unspoken words are like a wall standing between two people, preventing them from truly understanding each other's thoughts and feelings.
I think every couple has experienced this. We all have so much to say, but for various reasons, we don't express ourselves. These unspoken words are like a silent third party, standing in the way of communication and understanding in our relationships.
So, how can we overcome this barrier? How can we express the words hidden in our hearts and truly communicate and understand each other? Perhaps we need more courage and patience, or maybe we need better communication skills and strategies.
