The Essence of Management: Creating Value, Not Control
The essence of management is not about controlling employees. Often, we assume that management is about controlling what employees do and don't do. However, true management should be about helping employees create value. A good manager should be able to motivate employees, help them grow, and achieve better results.
If a company can only function by holding frequent meetings, occupying employees' free time, and creating anxiety, then what it lacks is not execution, but management ability. A company's management ability determines its future. Good management can lead to better results, higher efficiency, and higher employee satisfaction.
So, how can we achieve good management? First, managers need to understand employees' needs and expectations. They need to understand employees' strengths and weaknesses, help them grow and develop. Second, managers need to establish trust and communication. They need to build trust with employees, listen to their opinions and suggestions, and solve their difficulties and problems.
Good management is not just about control and command. It's about helping and supporting. It's about creating value and achieving success. Therefore, managers need to change their way of thinking, truly focusing on employees' growth and development. Only then can we truly achieve good management, leading to better results and higher efficiency.
