The 'Sickening' World of Douyin Short Dramas: The Series of Overbearing CEOs and Female CEOs
I've recently found myself getting more and more addicted to Douyin short dramas. Whenever I have nothing to do, I'll scroll through Douyin, and I'm guaranteed to come across 'sickening' content. What is 'sickening' content, you ask? It's those stories about the world's richest people, the overbearing CEOs, and the overbearing female CEOs. These stories always leave me feeling both amused and embarrassed.
The overbearing CEO series always makes me feel like these CEOs are just 'poison' in real life. They're always so arrogant and so spoiled, treating their employees like playthings. Yet, despite their infuriating behavior, there's always one or two characters that make my heart skip a beat.
The overbearing female CEO series is even more interesting. These female CEOs are always so strong and so independent, treating men like their playthings. Yet, despite their impressive behavior, there's always one or two characters that make me feel a pang of sadness.
These short dramas always leave me feeling both amused and embarrassed. Why are we so obsessed with these 'sickening' stories? I think it's because they give us a thrill that we can't find in real life. We can fantasize about being an overbearing CEO or female CEO and experience the feeling of power.
Of course, the 'sickening' world of Douyin short dramas isn't entirely negative. These stories also make us reflect on real-life issues. For example, why do we idolize these overbearing CEOs and female CEOs? Why do we think their behavior is acceptable?
