Rapid Reset: How to Bounce Back from Failure Like a Pro
We've all been there: a conversation gone wrong, today's plans ruined, a missed important training session, a stupid decision made... These failures leave us feeling defeated and helpless. But some people can quickly recover from failure, start anew, as if nothing happened. What's their secret?
The answer is: rapid reset. It means you don't have to get everything right, but rather learn to quickly let go of past failures and start anew. Like in a game, you lost a round, but you can start the next one immediately. You can't control that I lost a round, but you can't control that I'll lose the next one either.
The master's weapon isn't their ability, but their reset speed. The punch that knocked me down is already in the past; the second I stand up is the start of a new round. Some people get stuck in a setback for three years, while others start the next step three seconds later. You can choose how to respond to failure.
The secret to rapid reset is not letting failure define you. Are you the person who lost a game, or the one who's already started a new game? Are you the person stuck in past failures, or the one who's already begun a new journey?
So, when you encounter failure, don't worry too much. Turn the page and start anew. Start fresh tomorrow, make up for today's training. Learn from the lesson and set off again. Remember, your failure is already in the past; now it's the start of a new round.
