Familiar Desires: Why I'm More Likely to Feel Attracted to People I Know
I've always felt that people I'm familiar with are the ones who can most easily spark my sexual desire. For example, classmates, colleagues, friends I admire but don't have a romantic relationship with, or even distant relatives... I feel like I understand them well, identify with and accept their personalities, and on that basis, I can glimpse their private side and understand their sexual desires, which easily turns me on.
I think this might be related to my high school experiences. Back then, I hooked up with several straight male classmates and friends, and it was all very enjoyable. Maybe those experiences made me develop a special sense of closeness and trust towards people I'm familiar with. This feeling makes me more willing to let my guard down, open up, and explore their sexual desires.
But this phenomenon also confuses me. Why do I feel a stronger sexual desire towards people I'm familiar with? Is it because I feel safer with them, or because I think it's easier to get a response from them? Or is this just a psychological issue of mine?
I've tried to analyze my thoughts, but to no avail. Maybe this is just why I always feel attracted to people I know. Maybe this is just part of my personality.
