Raising Pets and the Human-Animal Boundary: A Mystical Exploration of the Beastly Way and the Human Way
I'm not against keeping pets, but I'm against animal cruelty. All living beings deserve respect. However, when it comes to the relationship between humans and animals, there's often a blurry line. Some people think of pets as part of the family, even sleeping and kissing them.
From a mystical perspective, animals belong to the beastly way, while humans belong to the human way. The beastly way is associated with impurities and darkness. Overly close relationships can lead to an exchange of energies, which can transfer the beastly way's karma and consume our own good fortune. This ancient idea suggests that humans and animals have different souls and destinies.
Feng shui also teaches that 'beds are for gathering and nurturing energy, and animals should not be allowed on them.' This perspective may seem old-fashioned, but it reflects the spiritual and energetic differences between humans and animals.
So, how should we treat our pets? Of course, we should show them love and responsibility, providing a comfortable living environment and necessary care. At the same time, we need to maintain boundaries between humans and animals, avoiding excessive closeness and energy exchange.
Keeping pets can be a wonderful experience, but it requires us to stay aware and respectful of natural laws.
