I've always believed that being filial to our parents is a basic obligation for every child. So, when I received my year-end bonus of 10,000 yuan, I decided to take my parents on a trip to Sanya, without touching our household expenses. Little did I know, this decision would spark a family feud. Because of this, my mother-in-law stopped helping us with the 4,000 yuan mortgage payment. As a family of three, my husband's and my salaries combined only amount to 11,000 yuan, which is barely enough to cover the mortgage. Now, we have to pay the full mortgage on our own, and with what's left, we have to support our family, including our child's milk, kindergarten fees, fruits, utilities, medical bills, and more.
