The True Face of Love: Wholehearted Devotion
After reading the story of Li Kangmei and Old Li, my emotions have been stirred for a long time. Some people say that Li Kangmei's 18 years of devotion were all for nothing, and her sincerity was betrayed. But what is love supposed to bring? A marriage certificate? Wealth? Can these things truly represent the essence of love?
I think Li Kangmei's tears were not because she couldn't get married to Old Li, nor because she couldn't inherit his fortune, but because the person she loved had passed away. This feeling cannot be replaced by anyone. The true face of love can be summed up in four words: wholehearted devotion.
Li Kangmei's story tells us that love doesn't need formal constraints, and it doesn't need material exchanges. Love only needs two loving hearts, mutual companionship, and understanding. This kind of love is the real deal.
We are often constrained by societal pressure and external concepts, forgetting the original intention of love. We often tie love to material wealth and fame, forgetting the true essence of love. Li Kangmei's story is a wake-up call, reminding us to re-examine our views on love and understand the true face of love once again.
