I have a cousin who's quite handsome and has a good personality. He works at the tax bureau, and his wife is a salesperson at a shopping mall. She's not particularly attractive, but they seem to have a happy marriage. They have a six-year-old son, and the three of them appear to be a harmonious family. I always thought their marriage was perfect, until I discovered something that shattered my perception. It turned out that my cousin's wife was having an affair with a man from her workplace who's over a decade older than her. This guy is really unattractive – he's got a receding hairline, a bushy beard, and a face full of acne. His teeth are yellow, and it looks like he never brushes them. His lips are thick and red, and they're always droopy. What's worse, he's got terrible bad breath. One time, I walked past him and was hit with a wave of stench that almost made me vomit. What I found most inexplicable was that my cousin caught them in the act, but he didn't beat up his wife or the guy. Instead, he just made them sign a written promise. It's just unbelievable. Now, I don't even contact him anymore. He's just too weak. Why couldn't he be more assertive? Why couldn't he protect his own family? I just can't understand. This incident completely changed my views on marriage and family. I used to think that happy families were perfect, but now I realize that they might be hiding secrets. Maybe we should pay more attention to our own families and marriages instead of just focusing on superficial harmony.
