Back in the day, Twitter wasn't called X, it was just Twitter. It was an era full of controversy and passion. The Chinese Twitter community mainly consisted of three types of people: those who were into adult content (prostitutes and clients), those who were into cryptocurrency (usually gamblers and scammers), and those who discussed politics (mostly dissidents). Everyone had their own circle, and people would argue, debate, and attack each other on their own turf.
Nowadays, I don't recognize many of the bloggers on Twitter, and the content they post is all so bland. Everyone has become so civilized, polite, and courteous, it's like they've forgotten about the controversy and passion of the past. I miss the old Twitter, it was a real era where people spoke the truth and did real things.
Our old Twitter was a time when people would send each other to jail, expose each other's secrets, and dig up each other's past. Now, X is too civilized. Although the current Twitter is safer and more civilized, I still miss the passion and authenticity of the past.
