Why Is Money Always the Reason for Divorce?
Over the years, whether it's on soul, Douyin, Kuaishou, or Xiaohongshu, I've gotten to know many people, most of whom are divorced women. Old Wang has a knack for this sort of thing and always has plenty of stories to share.
I've discovered that no matter how they spin it or try to put a positive spin on themselves, the underlying reason for their divorce is always the same: their husband's income was too low! There's no other reason; the other reasons that come up are just symptoms of the husband's low income. Sometimes I wonder, is money really that important?
But a friend's wife really surprised me. Their story made me reevaluate the issue of 'money'.
This friend of mine is one of my suppliers, and sometimes after discussing business, we'd grab dinner and get a foot massage. That was before the pandemic, and business was booming back then. We'd talk business and our friendship would grow deeper.
I met his wife at a foot massage parlor; she's very pretty, eloquent, and was working in sales, not as a technician. We'd hang out, and before I knew it, they were a couple. Honestly, I didn't think they'd last, feeling that their differences were too great and their outlook on life wasn't compatible.
But their story really shocked me. With business being tough, they'd lost a lot of money and were in debt to the tune of over 300,000 yuan. Yet, his wife didn't leave him; instead, she put aside her pride as the lady of the house and went back to working in sales at the foot massage parlor, fighting alongside her husband. This made me see their love and perseverance in a new light.
Today, my friend even asked me to go to his wife's store and show my support by becoming a member. I never knew what it meant to 'show support' until now.
